Thomas Rankin

Thomas is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dash Social. He launched the company with Tomek in 2013 after seven years investing in technology. Beginning with low-carbon initiatives at the Government of Nova Scotia and later as a venture capitalist at Innovacorp, where he led early-stage software investments. Thomas is a CPA, holds an MBA from Dalhousie University, and is a graduate of the American Venture Capital Institute. He lives in Halifax with his wife, Leanne, and their two daughters, Emmy and Isla. When he’s not building Dash Social, you’ll find him on the golf course, coaching youth soccer, or happily chauffeuring his girls and is intent on raising Manchester United fans.
